Emergency Housing of San Diego is part of a non-profit corporation providing homeless solutions policy board has initiated a process to improve the delivery of housing; Apartment Living; Studio Living; Shared Apartment Living; Shared Room Rentals and Bed Rentals to families and individuals who are homeless or at great risk of homelessness throughout San Diego County and the Cities of San Diego and Riverside County. This process, the Homeless System of Emergency Housing Services Assessment Process, institutes consistent and uniform assessment processes to determine the most appropriate response to each individual or family’s immediate and long-term housing needs. Emergency Housing of San Diego specializes working with outside agencies such as government agencies; consulting agencies; 211 housing Coordinators; Religious Sectors; Non-profits organizations; Motels; Extended Stay Motels; Mental Healthcare Agencies who have clients that need permanent housing.
Emergency Housing Services provides apartment living; shared room rentals; studio apartment living; to homeless families and individuals of Riverside County and San Diego County in the following cities: National City; Mission Valley; Mission Gorge;
El Cajon; La Mesa; Downtown San Diego; Escondido; Carlsbad; Vista. San Marcos; Imperial Beach; Chula Vista; Poway.
Homeless Individual must have income to pay their monthly rent and security deposits; income can consist of SSI or SSDI; six months collection of Workers Compensation; Unemployment Benefits or be gainfully employed by providing 3 paycheck stubs.
Apartment Cosigning Services
Emergency Housing offers apartment cosigning services and lease guarantees through its partnerships to help homeless individuals and families who can not qualify for rentals; to assure approval with third party apartment communities on behalf of Families who are gainfully employed or have a stable form of income to allow them to pay for apartment monthly rental.
Elderly Housing Services
Emergency Housing have taken a keen interest to help the Elderly with Housing in the Counties of San Diego who are living on the streets or who are unable to secure housing; and living in parking lots of Jewish Federations. The Apartment Living is shared rooms for the elders; who are on SSI or SSDI. Rooms can range from $700 to $1200 a month. Emergency Housing offers case management services to help the elderly obtain food; clothing; medications; transportation to medical facilities; home Healthcare; grooming care. Please note: Homeless Elderly who are homeless unable to care for oneself; must be accompanied by a healthcare provider for there daily care in order for Emergency Housing to provide permanent living.
Motel 6 and Extended Stay Services
Emergency Housing of San Diego provide housing services to the homeless who are guest and residence of extended stay motels and Motel 6 who wishes to obtain apartment living.
Case Management Services to Hospital and Psychiatric facilities
Emergency Housing of San Diego visits Hospital Facilities and Psychiatric hospitals meet with social workers and case managers to provide housing to release patients who need permanent housing.
Jewish Federation Parking Lots
Emergency Housing of San Diego visits Jewish Federation Parking Lots to assist with housing arrangement to families and others who seek permanent housing/ apartment living.

Emergency Housing Services do not accept homeless individuals or families who are active drug using street drug usages; we do not accept homeless individuals or those who have a background release from murdering crimes, child molestation or rape.
